This list includes items needed for the daily operation of WKO, for Center-Based Programs, as well as for individual families and children in our Outreach Programs. This list is separate from the needs for the annual Christmas Store.
- Operational money. WKO must raise over $1,000,000.00 each year to meet our operational expenses.
- Baby supplies and furniture – diapers, new cribs and new mattresses, crib sheets, cabinet locks, new car and booster seats, etc.
- Coats for any age – new or gently used
- Prepaid phone cards for clients
- Assistance to purchase the property surrounding WKO’s current 10 acres.
- Dress up clothes and/or dance costumes (for use at summer camp) – new or gently used
- Small toys to be used for activities and prizes
- File cabinets
- Office supplies
- School supplies
- Exercise trails

- Scrapbooking supplies for Moms Day Out
- Workshop vise
- Extension ladder
- Tools
- Power washer
- Backhoe with auger
- Paved driveways throughout main property
- Chain link (4 ft.) fencing for parameter of main property
- Round and square bales of good grass hay
- Gutters for barn
- Bleachers for outside arena
- Catwalks to allow children to move between activities despite bad weather
- Mini vans or Suburbans for transporting clients – two are needed
- For Riding Program: new or gently used western saddles for horses (not ponies), new horse bridles, western pads (must be thick), riding boots (all sizes—women’s and men’s), new grooming supplies, and riding safety helmets
