Whole Kids Outreach’s success with the families we serve is due, in large part, to the general support of individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations. We are most appreciative of all gifts received.

Contributions to WKO come in many forms – financial gifts, gifts-in-kind and volunteer efforts that help satisfy our wish list of needed items.

  • Donors qualifying for tax credit programs are eligible for additional state tax credits
Employer Matching Gift Cash, appreciated securities (stocks and bonds) Send in a matching gift form from you or your spouse’s employer and WKO will complete and submit it for the contribution. Many companies also match retiree and spouse gifts
  • Tax deduction only for individual’s gift portion
  • Corporation recognized as donor
Pledge Cash, appreciated securities (stocks and bonds) Written agreement with WKO with a promise to make several contributions over a short-term period.
  • Tax deduction as each contribution on the pledge is made
Planned Giving Cash, appreciated securities (stocks and bonds) A provision in an estate plan such as a bequest in a will to transfer assets to Whole Kids Outreach
  • Control over distribution of estate
  • Avoidance of inheritance tax
Gifts-in-Kind A vast array of items is needed for our many programs. See our most up-to-date wish list and more explanations Bring or ship items to WKO or request assistance for transporting. Donated items are also needed for the Christmas Store and our annual auction.

  • Value of gift is determined by donor and financial adviser
Volunteer Time Service projects on-site or off-site for teens and adults Donate your time to help a particular program at WKO.
  • Satisfaction of directly helping the children and families served
  • Some volunteer hours may have tax benefits – consult your tax adviser
  • Work for WKO helps teens and others satisfy community service requirements for school and church
Special Events Cash or appreciated securities (stocks and bonds) Attend one of our special events to raise support for WKO and/or be a sponsor of an event.
  • Tax-deductible to the full extent of the law
  • Sponsors are recognized at the event
  • Have a great time in the company of others who also support the mission of WKO
Third Party Events Cash or appreciated securities (stocks and bonds) or gifts-in-kind, dependent on event Host an event to benefit WKO or have a party and ask for gifts that will be donated to help WKO (such as for the Share a Toy Christmas Store or for baby items).
  • Special recognition as a supporter of WKO

Financial donations are vital in allowing Whole Kids Outreach to fund critical programs aimed at addressing the unmet health and developmental needs of the children served.
